My new driveway, which is very wide, puddles in some spots after rain. Not huge deep puddles, but more like a slight pooling of water. Is this normal?

Some shallow puddles are inevitable. It seems to be impossible to pour concrete or lay asphalt perfectly flat.

Unless of course you pour what's called a super flat slab with a laser guided screed...A bit too pricey for residential applications I'm sure

You can try this stuff called flexset. I fixed several cracks and potholes with it two weeks ago. worked well. Label says it repairs "birdbaths" which i think means shallow puddles like you are talking about. heres the store I bought it at http://stores.ebay.com/IRP-Pavement-Repair-Products?refid=store
