I own a Sears & Roebuck model # 153.335250 hot water heater. Recently the pilot light has been going out every so often (infrequently). The pilot light does stay lit temporarily (a day,week or month). Is the thermocouplar bad or is it going bad or is it possibly something else. Please respond. Thank you.

Put a new T/C in dont cost that much. At the time blow and clean out the small pilot venturi. So you have a good flame on it.
