what is best underlayment between hard vinyl tile and a concrete basement floor. the area will mostly be wtw carpet, but a 7X7 area will be vinyl tile. in order to build up the surface and protect the vinyl i was thinking of insalling wonderboard in that area alone (little to no moisture present, year-round). is this advisible? wanted to stay away from plywood, especially since it is below grade.
