I live in Florida and I am having my roof re-roofed. A couple of the contractor's have suggested using Titanium UDL versus the traditional 30# felt.

I've checked out the info on the manufacturer's web site: http://www.interwrap.com/titanium/ . However, most of the benefits for going with titanium over felt seem to be related to ease of installation for the roofer. I'm more intertested in the perfomance aspects.

Does anyone have any opinions on the performance of Titanium UDL? Felt has such a proven track record that I'm looking for some convincing reason to switch.

Thanks for your help.

Did you check code there . Down here that is the first think to look at. I know here 30 lb felt ring nail 12" on center is called for.

Haven't used that stuff yet myself, in part due to the increased cost. I think one of the main benefits is its claimed ability to sit on a wood deck for at least six months without any meaningfull degradation, including curling.
