I am getting ready to add 5-6" blown fiberglass insulation to my attic. Before I do this, I have a question about vents that I had cut under my eaves for improved air ventilation. What do I need to do to see that these vents remain open and not covered by the blown insulation? I hope I have explained this properly and thanks for any suggestions.

Your can install styrofoam baffles towards the ends of the rafters. But you also have to install stops from the top plate of the wall to the baffles to stop the insulation falling into your eaves and covering the vents. You can use the baffles to create the stops or cardboard.
