I posted this in the electrical forum before noticing this new forum ...
I want to step down 120v to 12v for 4 50 l.v. light fixtures. One web-supplier advertised electronic transformers that could use standard dimmers. I've always heard that standard dimmers would eventually burn out the transformer. When I called them the guy said that that's not true with electronic transformers. Yet, Lutron and others make special (expensive) electronic low voltage dimmers. Could it be possible to use a standard dimmer on here?
