Whirlpool Dryer - not running

How do I get to the motor. I have pulled the back of the dryer off and it is sealed with no access to the motor. Popping th top reveals the drum and belt
(which is o.k.) Looks like access it through the front lower panel, but I can not figure out how to remove.

Pressing the start button starts a hum, but no motor turn, then a slight electrical burning smell.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Once the top is lifted there are two 5/16th inch screws that need to be removed, one on either corner in inside front. Then disconnect door switch wiring in right front, lean front panel towards you to clear drum, and lift up the front panel with a jerk. Take note of how belt winds around idler pully before removing it. Scott
