I'm re-wiring my co-op and am planning to use Belden 7915 tri-shield. It is sweep tested to 2.2 gigs. Cable company specs are to 1 gig. May sound like a stupid question:
Is it ok to use the cable which is sweep tested above 1 gig?
Any feelings on Belden cable?

you can always exceed the requirements. I'm not an expert, but as far as I know Belden is a good brand.
I know for quad-shield you need to buy matching connectors, but I'm not famaliar with tri-shield.

Belden makes a good quality cable. I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in the fact that it is swept to 2GHz, if you look at the cable specs, you will see that the max attenuation at 1 Gig is still the same for just about any brand of Series 6 coax. It is mostly a marketing gimmick. But you shouldn't have any worries about using this cable.
