Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I have an ignorance question. Is is possible to re-wire the connectors of an Altec Lansing ACS295 [http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/acc/ACS295/?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19] or ADA885 [http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/acc/ada885/en/index.htm] subwoofer such that it could be driven by a Sony STR-DE545 Amplifier [http://www.docs.sony.com/release/STRDE545.PDF]?

I hope the answer is yes. I would not want to buy a new subwoofer when I have two perfectly good ones lying around.

Thanks,
wmqman

I would not even attempt to use a computer sub on a surround sound receiver. They may be perfectly good COMPUTER subs, but not adequate for home theater.
