Dared to move my DW to Europe? :(
Hooked up to a transformer (115V/50Hz) , water, sewer and it worked.
It hasn't been used for a long while and it stopped working.
Once! it worked again, then not again. I thought it was because of water pressure. Now pressure is ok, but DW still doesn't react.
Symptom:
Pressing any button shoes only a short LED blink on QuickRinse, otherwise "no picture no sound", i.e. no display and nothing happens.
Water pressure ok, 115V supply ok (other applicances work), Door switch ok,
115V goes to the connector on the circuit board.
I tested the diodes and found D05 faulty. After removing one leg it confirmed ok. (Being soldered w/ both ends it shows a few ohms in both directions.)
My guess is the power supply part on this board is marginal, hence the positive function at one time.
Can you provide a schema of the circuit board?
Do you have an idea of what it could be?
The schema could help me to control DC Voltage which I guess is not existing anymore.
Thank you for your help! :)
George

I just found a Service Bulletin from Whirlpool (=Kenmore DW 665) stating that the phenomen I described is usually caused by a "shorted or stuck key" on the "active overlay keypad". Does anyone know what resistance values are within tolerance, if measured from the control board connector?
Thks,
George
