I have a Kenmore Elite sensor smart electric dryer that takes twice as long to dry a load as it did when I bought it. I have checked the vent from the dryer out but I do not know how to get the front panel off to see if there is lint built up there. It is a front loading model with a large kickplate. It is the kickplate I can't get off. It appears to have springs that I can't remove.
Can you help me get the covers off?

((((UN PLUG FIRST))) Use a putty knife... slide from left to right and right to left... you will stop at the spring clips on both sides... push on clips with putty knife and lift up while pulling the panel foward... will snap back on when re-installing.. :coffee:
