I have a 3 yr old dryer (Kenmore) and I have the settings in the proper position and I attempt to start the dry. It will start but as soon as I let go of the start button it quits. I tried to start it with the door open and I tried to start it with the timer at 0 just to make sure the timer and door functions worked properly. I assumed it was the switch, right behind the start button, so I replaced that but still have the same problem. My next guess would be some kind of relay, but every guess is costing me money. Could it be the relay or could it be possible something is wrong with the curcuit board?
Please reply ASAP.

Took a closer look and a resister on the circuit board was blown and no power was even being sent to the relay.
Only hard part is to determine the colors on the resister. So I am going to head down and see a good circuit board to get the right resister.

Is it a Even Heat Dryer....If so :coffee: this model is common to have a bad board... it is behind the console... they have them new or re-built...

I attempted to fix the curcuit board but it seems to have the problem.
