OK, guys!
I have 30 year old terazzo in my shower stall. The stones are starting to loosen, and the caulk is constantly compromised. I replaced all the grout last year. I know I need a shower pan, but...
We are planning on ripping out the shower and redoing the bathroom within a year. I just want to seal the shower well and long enough until we can get started on this project. The shower does fine for about amonth after it is sealed and then starts leaking through to the first floor.
My plumber suggested an epoxy based sealant to form a bullet-proof seal on the grout and tile, but every time I ask at Big Box home improvement center, or even the local tile yahoos, I get a blank stare or a DUHHH.
Can you tell me what I need?

Home loan?
More baths?
:alarm: Water leaking to the first floor? :alarm:
No good my friend.
If you are sure the leak is from the shower base and not the drain pipe,
You might try that garage epoxy paint. Though, it might have some nasty fumes.
And it might not work. And it would ruin the terazzo. But it sounds like it's time for them to go anyway.
Move up your plans.
