Lowes has a deal for $299 you get a Bostich compressor and a finish nailer and a brad nailer. Has anyone seen this? Is it a good deal or is it junk?

Bostich is a good brand. It's a good deal, IF you need both nailers.
In other words, you won't regret your decision no matter what. If you like it, then buy it. Bostich is a solid product.
I will add, that most 'combo' deals are really good for people who do not have any of those guns already. So, don't shy away from those combo deals if your a first time buyer.

Bostich is OK... I own a couple Bostich guns myself. But for an extra $50, I'd recommend the Senco #pc0960kit (twin stack 1 1/2 hp compressor & hose, FP32 16 ga nailer, with free FP18 18 ga nailer.)
Senco's are clearly superior.

Where are the senco kits available. I haven't seen them in either HD or Lowe's. Thanks for the input.

Senco, Duofast, Airy and most of the lesser-known (but better quality) nailers are generally sold at specialty fastener suppliers which may be a factory owned or authorized store.

The #pc0960kit I was referring to is currently sold out at Amazon.

I am really gonna sound like a Hitachi salesman I know. I have used nearly every 16 guage and 18 guage gun on the market. Just this past week I returned the Senco 18pro. Lowe's didn't carry anything but Bostitch, Tradesman and Senco. So I tried the Bostitch. I returned it the very next morning. I used to like the Porter Cable 18 guage 2" brad gun but I ended up having the Tool guy at lowe's order me the NT50AE HITACHI. IT's the most reliable 18 guage 2" gun out there. I had a 2" 18g dewalt and the Hitachi at the same time. Driving 2" brads into 4" thick oak posts' , The HITACHI drove EVERY nail EVERY time. The dewalt didn't . I used to work with some Amish guys doing Trim work and we've all talked about brad guns and 16 guage guns everytime were do for a new one. Everytime we end up trying a different brand and going back to the Hitachi. If your not using the guns on a daily basis and not shooting nails fast the bostitch kit might work just fine for you. But I couldn't suggest it to anyone and feel good about myself. I know Porter Cable has a package deal with compressor, 16 guage gun and 18 guage gun but the compressor is a piece of junk and the 16 guage gun I've used and was not impressed with. Good Luck.

The only Hitachi nailer I have is a 1" crown roofing stapler. I was at the repair shop today and asked about Hitachi brad and finish guns. The repair guy told me he has a lot of Hitachis in because they tend to double-fire and jam but there's not much that can be done about it. He does claim that you can usually find a brand of brads or finish nails that works better in a particular gun but that he hasn't found anything that works well in Hitachi guns.
