I moved in into my home about a year ago, the flooring on one side of the house looked great at the time of purchase. Since then i have noticed that the ends of the planks( this is a traffic master floor) are becoming seperated. I had a carpenter friend look at the floor he said this is supposed to be a "floating floor" . The edges around the floor have a quarter moulding installed which is nailed into the flooring, which he claims caused the problem. Is this true and if so how would I go about correcting the problem,he seems to think the only way this can be done is to tear up & reinstall the floor. Any help would be appreciated.
