:wall: Gday from Australia.
Just wondering what the best option to cut a NEAT hole in a brick wall would be.
I have to install an Air-Conditioner (Box type, not split/system) and need to remove a hole about 450mm x 500mm neatly.
I am considering smashing the initial brick with a cold chisel & hammer, and then sawing the bricks with some kind of masonry wheel on my Angle Grinder (150mm diameter).
Any recommendations?

PS great site.

I would make the perimeter cut, then cut the mortar between the bricks to remove them. A masonry blade on a circular saw will likely do the job, unless you have an angle grinder with a large enough blade.
