KEEPING GRASS AFTER GROWN

I LIVE IN LANDOVER, MD. AND BOUGHT MY HOUSE SEVEN YEARS AGO. EVERY YEAR I GROW A BEAUTIFUL YARD OF GRASS, BUT IT ALWAYS DIE BEFORE THE END OF SPRING. I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS SUGGESTIONS THAT HAVE NOT WORKED. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

DVA, here's a suggestion - do nothing. It sounds like you are killing your yard with kindness. If I understand you, the yard looks great in April and May, then turns brown in June. Could be too much water and/or too much fertilizer.

Is it just patches? The whole yard? What kind of grass? fescue, bluegrass, ???
