My wife and i have 2 concrete slab walkways that in the next few years we want to remove. My wife wants to put in a bluestone walkway instead. I just watched a show where part of the design was to use existing concrete slabs, break them apart into functional pieces for a walkway and stain them. I figure if i have to break the slabs apart anyway, why not try and use them if it's possible and appealing. I did some research on the acid stain process and some websites claim they can get it to look very much like stone and it is much less expensive. Does anyone know anything about this process and if it is a reasonable diy project? thanks
