I have a very expensive chair I think they call a gravity recliner from a company called True Dimensions that appears to be out of business. There is a small twisted wire cable that runs from one of the hand rests to the base & controls releasing chair for movement. This cable broke very near the end. I think I could fix it if I could find a place that would supply a new cable. The cable has little round metal thing on the end (I think both ends) that is fits into a holder. Any ideas at all would be appreciated.

Thanks

I am not familier with that brand, but you are probably right about the cable
What you describe would be common, but the part would not be universal
I think your best bet is to remove the cable so you can match it up size-wise
Perhaps there is a local place that services recliners (some recliner stores do)
Maybe they use a similar sized part and can get one for you
If it is at all similar to a bicycle brake cable (some are) perhaps a bike repair shop may be able to make one for you

Thanks - took it completely apart - I'm thinking if I can get cable made with proper end for side that broke I can perhaps cut existing cable in half and splice it. Will take to bike shop to see if they can help.
