For some installation flaw,I have to re-install about 120 sq. feet of hardwood floor (in my Dining room).
This is my inventory
(1)30 sq. feet of unopened boxes
(2) 30 sq. feet of clean pieces ( long peices are there)
(3) 80 sq. feet of removed pieces from 1st attempt. They have staples on them with the face of the board intact.
What should be the strategy to re-install the floor ? When I use (3), should I just cut off the staples using a plier and re-use them, OR cut out the portion where the staples are there ??
As mentioned, I can afford to use small pieces anywhere b'voz this is the dinig room..
Experts ..pls help...I am slated to start this by today evening.......

If the boards haven't been damaged then you can just pull out the staples or clip them off. It is best if you pull them out but that isn't always easy or fun. Sometimes they pull out quite easy.
