I am planning to install ceramic tiles in my entry foyer today and b'coz of a bad experience earlier, I would pick a thinnest possible grout line ( Maybe 1/16 or 1/8)..Now, experts pls suggest if this is a good idea .....

I definitely dont want to go over the multiple issues I had when grouting my previous job..........I know I cannot mess up now, with this thin grout.....

I would be picking a 12 X 12 tile for my project .. The entire area would be approx 55 sq. ft only........

Pls give suggestions, experts ..............

Unless the tile is rectified, meaning the edges are ground square and every tile is the exact same sixe, then you will want nothing less than 1/8" grout line. Also, if there is variation between tiles of 1/16" or so which is not to uncommon, you might want to go up as high as 3/16". One of the biggest things with tighter grout lines is the tighter tolerance towards lippage.
