Hello all. I am looking to replace the blower wheel on my ge gas dryer and could use some tips or advice, if anyones familiar. If anyone knows where i can find free info on this topic or a online step by step site, or if you think this project is too hard for someone with no experience, i would also appreciate hearing from you. I simply dont know. All i do know is i spent a fortune on this blower wheel and clamp, cause my machine is not venting and now i cant afford to have a tech come in. I look foward to hearing anything. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Welcome jimjr212 to the Gas Appliances topic and the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.
A few small hand tools is all that should be needed. Minor mechanical skills would be helpful too. Not really a complex or complicated task either. Once you gain access to the motor, most need to be removed.
Some blowers are mounted directly on the motor shaft close to the motor. While some blowers are on a long shaft out of the motor on the other end of the machine. Each brand and most models differ.
A service manual will be very helpful. Local appliance parts dealers can help and may also have specific or generic service manuals. Appliance parts dealers are an excellent source for original replacement parts and problem resolving matters. Dealers are listed in the phone book under appliances.

It's always adviseable to clean the entire exhaust venting system every 2 years. Or during any dryer maintenance, connection, servicing and or repairs.
