Can you use the frottage technique in one color? What affect would I get if I just added the same color (blackberry) to the glaze color?

It would probably be not worth the effort. What imprint tool are you using? You might end up with a nice, VERY subtle texture, but I would suggest trying a sample board (use poster board) first.

When you mean imput tool, I assume you mean what I'm planning on using to frottage. Plastic cut into 3' squares. I have already painted the wall a blackberry color. I'm going to go back to home depot and have them custom blend a darker color blackberry and use that with the glaze. Does that seem better?

Yes, imprint tool is what you use to texture or manipulate the glaze. I think you will be happier with a different color, and a shade darker will give you a nice subtle look. I'd still use a sample board first, just to make sure you like it.

I went to home depot and picked out a lighter color for the base coat and bought primer to cover the blackberry which I'll use as the second coat with the glaze. thanks again.
