I have an 12' x12' dining area I have striped to the subfloor in preperation for laminate floor installation. The floor is level and flat in one direction, the other direction presents the problem. The center 4' are level and flat then the subfloor slopes downward approx 3/4" on either side.
Filling the sides to match the center would cause an unveven floor match between the kitchen floor and dining area on one side.
Also the option of pulling up the subflooring and shaving the floor joists to flatten the area would be difficult. This the second story of a two story and
the joists algin different directions under the subfloor in this area to accomodate a 2' canilever of the second story over the first.
What is the best way to attack this situation?
thanks
