I am about ready to install a shower dam and would like to get opinions on the pre-fabricated plastic ones such as from Noble. They seem like a good idea to me because of all mold I found when I removed my old shower. How do you fasten them to a concrete slab foundation?

They eliminate the step of making a mud curb, but you still have to create a pitched shower liner bed, proper liner corners over your dam of stacked 2x4's and then you installit by sliding it over your stacked 2x4's, tacking the outside to the curb and pinning it against the curb framing with your setting bed of mud. If you are uncomfortable making the mud curb with lath and cement, it's a good option but it won't eliminate mold and deterioration if the liner has leaks.
