I am going to install some prefinished hardwood flooring. Do I need to remove the 1/2 subfloor or can I go over the top?

Installation of 3/4" solid hardwood requires a 3/4" plywood (OSB acceptable) subfloor. Go to www.nofma.org for the National Oak Flooring Manufacturer's technical manual on hardwood flooring installation.
