Well Its me again. I got all the repair work outside done yesterday. The house ext is tile and in good shape but the built on garage is wood.It is in bad shape, looks like it was not properly preped every time it was painted.
Can I use a high pressure washer to get some of the chipped paint off?
I know it would have to be dry to paint and not to cut into the wood.
Would you advise to prime the whole garage or to just spot prime?

Yes, you can use a pressure washer. But be very careful with the pressure.
Prime the whole garage? Wouldn't hurt, but it really depends on the condition of the paint that isn't removed by pressure washing.

Presure washing works great, just be careful especially with the higher presure units so you don't damage anytrhing or put water where you don't want it. Also before painting check to see if there is chaulk on the surface before painting. Oil base primer will take care of this. Flood also makes a product 'emulsa bond' that can be added to latex to promote bonding on chaulky surfaces.
