hi
i have water pooling inside the bottom of my fridge, seemingly coming from near its ceiling motor thing.
Can this be remedied or do i need a new fridge?
I pulled the fridge away from the wall to let it vent more, will that help?

Have you checked the door seal? It may be causing condensation to collect. I cannot think of any other source of water that would cause this pooling. Good luck.

As far as the seal, look for gaps that may allow air to enter and cause condensation. If this is the case, you SHOULD notice the frig running more as it also loses the cold air and runs to keep the temp you have it set at.
Not sure if level would affect it that way. Is there a crack in the liner of the cabinet? Just wondering if you can pinpoint where the water is coming in at. Good luck.

Door seal is main one for it. low on freon .Not level ,drain line blocked up inside Defrost not working . If condenser coil is under it is it clean? Ice maker over flow?
lots of ifs here.

what brand is your fridge?

One place to also check is the cold water holding tank if you have ice and water in the door. These tanks set at the back of the fridge, usually close to the bottom. The moisture at the top could be condensation forming around the light if your temp is a bit high.

Check the drain pan under the refrigerator, there should be water in it unless you have an extremly warm room and its evaporation. The drip tube under there should at least be wet. Make sure this is not plugged.

The brand is a whirlpool.
Vacuumed under it the other day, still getting wet inside.
Drain pan was DRYAS A BONE.
Called whirlpool and they sed to defrost it for 24 hours cuz theres prolly ice in the defrost line.
Thoughts?

Probably either ice or crud in the defrost drain. Let it defrost as Whirlpool suggested. If that doesn't work, you'll need find it and clean it out. The drain should be at the back bottom of the freezer. You might have to remove the back of the freezer to get to it. Once found, a little warm water mixed with some bleach poured down the drain tube should clean it out. If that doesn't work, you could try blowing it out with a compressor. My guess is that the obstruction will be obvious once you find the drain.

Good luck.
