I have a Vikrell shower surround that I am installing directly over studs. I am not sure how to finish the raw edge of the greenboard that butts up to the shower surround and conceals the nailing flange. I've been considering a J-channel cap on the edge of the greenboard. Is there a better solution for this? Also, how do I accommodate the depth of the flange when covering the flange with the greenboard? Should I shim out all the studs surrounding the shower 1/8" to match the depth of the flange?

Oops! I just read todddurham's post "Install drywall around a fiberglass shower." It seems everything I need to know is in that post. Thanks
