i have a couple of questions

1) due to space issue i need to reduce a duct size from 10". this is a two story house and a basment. the duct is located in the basment and is feeding through the wall to the 2nd story bathroom. Does reducing the duct size reduce the air flow or increase it? and how small can i reduce it to ? 4" or 6"

2) i have a 10" duct pipe which i need to split it between a 1st story bathroom and a nearby bedrrom. can i split the 10" pipe? if yes what are the pipes going to both the bathroom and the bedroom be?

your help is truly appreciated

#1 no you cant just cut down on a duct .If thats a 3 1/4X10 you need that for the bath on the #2 floor for sure.

#2 10" what??????? if 10" round it makes 2--- 8" and they make 4 ---6" pipe
