I live in dry Colorado and was recently told that I need a whole house humidifier if I'm going to put in any wood floors. I want to do floors next month but am confused about when the humidifier will need to be in and on ?? Is the humidifier only needed during winter months ?? The summers are very dry here also and right now we do not have central air- when will I need to have the hum. istalled ??? I'm just trying to figure out if I'll have time to get humidifier later so I can proceed with wood floors without problems in spring/summer. I've posted on wood floors without much response.
This is very important info I need and appreciate any advice !!

Id say think this way the AC in summer takes out the humidity. Then in the winter is when we have to put it back in.With the furnace on then we have to put in a humidifier to put the moisture back into the air.
So I say the humidifier before next winter on the furnace for sure.
