Our VCR is an older sansung. In order to get it to play a tape you must pound the top of it 3 times. Also shorter beatings are necessary in order to ff or rw. Besides replacing it, any ideas??

First thing to look at there is the small rubber drive belts. Check them out. But to fix it at a shop. Just get a new one they are cheap now everything is going to the DVD.
