Our kitchen is entirely gutted, and we're all the way down to the sub-floor. The new floor will be a floating, 1/2" click-together cork... Obviously, we can't have the floating floor running under the cabinets. It wouldn't be floating then. My question is: In order to keep the cabinets above floor level, would it be best to measure the footprint of the cabinets (which we already have), place 1/2" plywood underneath, and then lay the floating floor around the footprint?... Our other concern, if we weren't to do this, is having the dishwasher trapped under the cabinets, because it would be below floor level.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

For sure put the filler in under the cabinets here . So you dont lock them are the dishwasher in.
