I have a brick driveway that was obviously done in two sections. The first half looks very old, while the second half looks relatively new. The color difference is quite noticeable with the older section being alot paler than the newer section.

Can anyone provide some suggestions for getting the two closer in color? I realize I won't get an exact match, but was hoping for some type of improvement.

Thanks.

You didn't say whether the driveway was clay brick or the relatively newer concrete paving stones. I assume both sections are made from the same type of material. In either case, you have two different batches of masonry units.

The two types of materials have different aging properties

Normally, concrete lightens very slightly with aging. Clay brick does not change color with time. Both will eventually get dirty, which will even out any color differences.

I wouldn't do anything and just hope they get closer with time.
