I have an old GE electric dryer
on the starter panel there is the knob that you turn for the time and on the left there are 5 buttons
start, perm press, those type buttons
well that start switch went on me and im trying to replace it yet i cant seem to find it anywhere
any moderators or veterans know of where i can find it.

You can look online for appliance repair/parts. There should be a place provided for the model number. This will then show you the part and/or the price.
You can also call your local appliance repair, give them the name of the part and the modle number. They can order it if its not in stock.
Good Luck.
