Just got "bumped" to the night shift and will soon be sleeping in the middle of the day. How do I prevent sunlight from entering the room? The move is probably only temporary, therefore the solution needs to be reverseable and preferably economical. Perhaps there is an opaque film that is also removeable. Any feedback is much appreciated.

since it's temporary, i think i'd just get some black-out ("room darkening") roller shades. they're probably the least expensive option.

Redi Shade makes temporary blackout blinds (5-8 bucks 36x72 or 48x72), I havent used them yet but Im planning on it as they can be mounted behind any existing drpaes, blinds etc...

What about just getting a sleep mask? Especially if it is temporary. This has worked well for me when I needed it, and I am a poor sleeper - and it only cost a few dollars at a drugstore

Night shift worker for many years here!!

Roll-down, blackout blinds are perfect for this. Also, keeps your room cool in the summer months if that's an issue.

A pillow over the top half of your head will work, as well as a sleep mask.

Don't forget ear plugs! Worth 10 times their weight in gold. The rest of the world is doing renovations, mowing lawns, revving engines, kids playing, doors slamming, music playing....

Such is the life of a shift worker :gmorning:
