My 2 year-old Whirlpool side by side fridge icemaker froze up and wouldn't discharge the ice. So I took it out and thawed and cleaned it off, then replaced it. Now it won't fill with water. Any tips on what I should check out? I know it's on (lever is down and the scraper is rotating in the bin". Look at the water line in back first?

If we had cams and I could see it I could help many people fix their ice makers themselves I would have to see it. Who knows in 10 years maybe that will happen people can just get tech online to see it with cam and then go through steps to fix it. Is it a side by side if so those are the easiest to fix. Most likey if the fingers in tray turn that means the t stat in ice maker works and it's not control mod on ice maker. There are 2 very common problems with ice makers water valve on back breaks and no water getting to water valve. So loosen hose to water valve to see if you have plenty of water going to valve if so it's the valve the blue thingy on the back of fridge that is broke cost about $24 to buy part. If no water is being supplied to fridge water valve then the under the sink valve is broke and needs to be replaced with new valve.
