Bought a home about a year and a half ago. They put a new addition on it about 8 years ago. Where the new addition starts, the first floor joist is high about 3/8" causing a crown in the flooring.

I want to rip up the complete subfloor and replace it. My question is this, the subfloor will be under the walls correct? Do I just go around the base of the wall with a saw and cut as close to the wall as I can to remove the subfloor?

Also, is 3/4" Tongue and Groove thick enough for a subfloor? Thanks in advance.

Yes --- As long as the walls run across the joist. But for sure not in the center like or run with the joist.

Yes for sure and Id use liquid nail also to put it down with some nails.
