Insulation, Radiant and Vapor Barriers - Basement Insulation ???

I just finished framing out the walls in my poured concrete basement. I framed the wall with 2x4's. The framed walls are (2) inches from concrete slab. I was planning on insulating with R-13 fibergalss bats. From what I have just read on other posts on the board I should place a layer of poly on the concrete side of the framing, then place batts with the Kraft side facing out, and then place another layer of poly.

How do I place the poly on the slab side of the wall when it is already framed in place?

Please advise on how I should proceed.

Placing poly over the concrete wall and over the insulation is not standard practice. Some towns do require it. So you should check with your local building officials on any code requirements.

If you need to put poly on the foundation side of the studded wall, just

tack it up to the sill plate ( if there is one, some houses don't) at the top

of the basement wall and use silicone caulk around the edges of the poly

to stick it to the foundation. Oh , by the way, when you mention "slab",

I assume you mean the foundation wall. Slab actually refers to the poured

floor.
