I have a Kenmore Ultra Fabric Care Heavy Duty - 90 Series - Soft Heat dryer, model number 96590140, and have had it up a running for a number of months now without any problems until now. When I try and start the dryer, that is after I turn the dial to the time and tempeture setting I want and I push the start button, it sounds like the dryer is running but the drum is not spinning. Is this something that can be fixed in the home with realitive ease? I am fairly technical and good with tools so if it something the average joe should be able to do, I can more than likely do it.

HomeHelp76, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
I would venture a guess that the belt is broken and thats why the drum does not turn. You will have to open up the back and check it. This is not a hard project and is DIY doable. Good luck.
