How do you tile with toilets, around them or lift toilet and under them? If so what is the best way to raise toilet and rehook up? Thanks

infopost, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
If you tile around the toilet base and later replace the toilet, you will either have to find the same base shape toilet or touch-up your tile work if the new one is smaller. Another downside to doing this is that if the wax seal fails, you won't know it until the tile starts lifting or (if toilet is on second floor) ceiling starts dripping.
You can get thicker wax seals for the height of the tile or get a spacer flange ring to make up the difference.
Turn off the water supply to the toilet. Flush to remove water in the tank. Use towels or wet/dry vac to remove the remaining water in the tank and bowl. Disconnect the supply tube under the tank. Remove the two nuts that hold the toilet domn. Lift the toilet off the bolts and sit off out of your way on a piece of plastic. Clean any remaining wax off of the flange and the bottom of the toilet. Reverse this process to re-install after tile is done. good luck.
