I bought a few Honda GX 160 engines at an auction; some are leaking oil.
Gasket sets are $23.00 per engine. Would high temp silicone work? It would save me money.

I would suggest using the gaskets. As parts vibrate as the engine runs it will wear the silicone & leak. A gasket will allow for the slight movement between parts & not leak!! (( unless it's a quick fix & sell))

I do plan to sell them locally and possible on eBay.
I wish for satisfied customers; so gaskets it is.
Thanks for the reply.
