I have a couple of kitchen cabinet doors that won't spring shut any more, so they're being held closed with velcro. Does this mean a spring is busted or is it just an adjustment? Do I need to replace the hinges with new ones? Can I get away with putting in new ones without drilling any holes. I'm not handy at all. Suggestions?

Sounds like the mechnism has worn out and they need to be replaced. The only way to not drill new holes is to find the EXACT same hinges. But then that creates another problem..... If the hinges are old, that manufacturer may have re-spec'd the hole placement.

I recommend replacing that poor old hinge too. However, as an alternative, you can buy one magnetic latche for a couple bucks and install it to keep the door closed.

Or you can add velcro latches to all your doors to match. ;)
