I have a 27" panasonic TV that I bought in 1996. I don't have the model number. Picture dissappears often, comesback goes out. Any ideas what might be wrong and what I can do to fix it or should I just throw it away? And also what would it cost to get it repaired in case if I can't do it myself???

Is the picture just blinking out, or does it fade over the course of a few seconds? If it fades, the filament circuit probably has a cold solder joint: trace it through with an ohmmeter. If not, it could be so many things...
