I have a four stroke Ryobi yard edger/weeder that quits after a few minutes of use. When cold it starts very easily with partial choke. Then when warm, as indicated by the manual, I move the choke to the off position and it works great.

After running for about 5 minutes, the engine will quit if the RPM is not at idle or kept high. If allowed to quit it is a little difficult to restart. After another few minutes of use, the only way to keep the engine running is to put the choke in the partial position. The longer the engine runs the more difficult it is to keep the engine running and the more difficult it is to restart it. It will get to a point where it runs at idle but stalls when the throttle is touched. Pumping the throttle will sometimes it back to a working RPM. This downward spiral continues until it won't continue to run no matter what I do and it won't restart.

If I let the engine cool all the way back to room temp, the process starts over. However, if the engine is started prior to a complete cool down the process will begin some where in the middle (i.e where I am having difficulty keeping the engine running).

A repair shop fixed the problem indicating that it was overfilled with oil. It ran fine for a few months but then the problem began again. Next the shop performed a complete carburetor overhaul. Again it ran fine. But this time only for the first 3 or 4 hours of use. And then, you guessed it, the same problem is back.

I have replaced spark plug and made sure that the fuel is fresh. Can anyone provide some helpful information as to what I should try next.

Thanks
Dave

I have an RCA television model # F27450, Chassis # ATC113BB1 that lists the date it was made as July 2002. In the past week the television would lose picture suddenly, making a noise and having the appearance of being turned off but still play sound. I can scroll through the different inputs of the television and still hear sound from my dvd player or xbox so I know it is not a wiring issue. The tv has never been moved from its location since it was first brought to my house so I know it has not undergone any recent trauma. Are there any ideas on what the issue may be? Is there anyway I can fix it myself or should I seek professional help? Thank you for reading.
