My house is built on a slab of concrete; the floors are cold, im putting in new carpet; any suggestions? can i put something between the cement and the carpet pad to help.

When you go to buy your carpet ask the dealer about padding made just for concrete slabs. These are more expensive but they last longer. They come in sheets and are rigid.

Might help some also if you can go around the outside of the home and put a 2"polystyrene 2 ft down all around the home. "IF you can".
