In the market for a whole house particulate filter, one with easily replaceable filters (ie auto water shutoff) and some sort of signal that the filter needs replaceing.
I've noticed red particles, which I assume to be some sort of rust, whenever I want to fill the bath. I take it these are coming from the bottom of the hot water tank. Since it's usually not more than a week, and the water heater is only 6 months old, I'm betting this sediment is not from the tank. All my piping is CPVC, so it's not coming from that either. I think it's coming from the city water lines.
Any suggestions?
