Hi,
The home I live in has very old plumbing and the kitchen sink was a single bowl that was hideous. I purchased a double bowl which was at first too deep at 8 inches so I exchanged it for a double 6 incher...the old sink was 6 inches......I struggled with the pipes as we have a wall drain that is rather high up...the p trap could not work even with the 6 inch bowls...so I raised the sink up to T off the pipes. I cant just have the sink setting on wood on the counter so I thought of redoing the entire countertop in tile and having the sink heightened an inch or so as is, and making the sink a focal point....what do you think? What should I do?

I replied to your other thread; I would make the necessary repairs underneath the sink......that way it is okay to install as deep a sink you would like.
I do not think that an inch will make a difference in your situation.
