Okay dumb question - but I must be doing something wrong....

I'm getting ready to rip & replace exterior walls & will be insulating them I've measured the walls 2 are 28' long 8' high and 2 are 15' long & 8'high (86 x8) so I figure roughly 690 sq ft

A roll of insulation is 146 sq ft.

My calculations say 5 rolls of insulation will be enough to cover this area....

That doesn't seem right to me - what am I doing wrong?

Working with what you said I get 5 roll also or you need 4.71 rolls. Paper to the room side and staple inside the studs when done put a 4 mil poly over it all then the drywall.
