Hello,
I'll be installing my Aprilaire 700 tonight and I have a question about the power requirements of the automatic humidistat. Does the humidistat require constant power to "remember" my houses particulars. I read that the first season I'll be "teaching" the humistat, so I wonder if it needs constant current to remember. The reason I'm asking is because I'll be reusing my sail switch, rather than pay $30 for the A50. I know an A50 is easy, but I don't want to spend money if I don't have to. It's technically possible for me to switch the 110v, 24v or even switch the H terminals like the A50 does( I suppose that's a 24v circuit). Is there any reason NOT to switch any of them?
The tech who installed my current A112 actually switched both the 110 and therefore the 16v transformer on the same circuit. Is there any reason not to switch the 110v? Looking here, http://www.alpinehomeair.com/view.cfm?objID=C1EC4FEC-1C8E-409D-9581-3B9839F377F0 it seems like I can do anything, but I don't see the 110v switched there.

Thanks,
Ken

From that www you gave. You have 24 volt to the control all the time in #5 and in #2 in # 1 #3 #4 #6 the power will be on and off.
